New to site, Park Ranger & lover of the CCC and old power saws. Black Hills, SD.

Purchased this old saw at a yard sale. Any ideas what model it might be and what year it was manufactured?

+1 On Woodslasher. Before you go out and buy a bar and chain better make sure it has an oil pump. I see the oil boost pump is gone and plugged off. Good find on that old girl. Heavy but a big engine for sure!!

Oil pump seems to work. When I got the engine un-seized, I cleaned the carb and started pulling. Engine was turning over and bar oil was coming out the bar port (terminology?). Have not got it started yet though..

Thanks Woodslasher. I need to do some more investigating to understand where the oil boost pump and oil plug is located... Throttle trigger is broken off so need to disassemble handle and look at a replacement for that as well. Up to my elbows in penetrating oil, carb cleaner and armor-all at the moment...

Hi All, Looks like mine is a 076AV offered as a TS, built 1980-1989 by the 1111 in the serial number? Also sounds like older models had "oilhole", but mine does not have an oil pump and the oilhole is plugged??
Thx.
