What type of wood is this?

    I am not sure what type of wood this is. I got it after it was already down and the limbs/leaves were gone.

    The back row is cherry for sure. Maybe ash in the front.

    Yes that is cherry in the back. Just not sure of the one in the front. I don’t think it is Ash.

    Ash but can be white oak. Hard to say from here....good firewood.

    Hickory then? Does it have a "nutty" smell when freshly split? Will you split a piece and post a picture?
