almost 3 cords of hardwood, about 30 US gallons of Diesel fuel in my oil tank for back up and a electricity bill averaging 200 a month.
We used to have the lowest utility rates in N America with government owned utilities, now private its the most expensive.
Competition they said, would be better for the consumer.

no# 3 heating oil is 3.69 here but i never used it K1 kero is 3.79 and i use it in the shop.

Had the worst power bill we've ever had this last January. Had the natural gas hooked back up because of it and the gas stove in the living room made a sizable dent in the power bill the next month, even though it's nowhere near as efficient as a gas furnace.

Power bill was $475.

I pay 16 cent per KWH. My bill averages $117 a month.
