So I have a chance at a super nice non xtorq 372XP with about 100-150 tanks of fuel through it or my other option is to get a new 562XP. Both are the same price and I am planning to run a 20in full chisel setup on this saw. What would you pick and why? Thanks much!

Prices are cash only, and power head only. 562xp = $625
Used OE 372XP = $600

For me the 562 because it's lighter and faster. If I was planning on having that 20" bar buried in hardwood all the time and not doing any limbing, I would choose the 372. In smaller wood the 562 should be a little faster and it has rev boost for limbing. In bigger wood the 372 should be faster. It just depends what your intended purpose for it is.

Primarily purpose would be felling and bucking / noodling mostly hardwood. I can't find specs on the original 372XP. If anyone has these that would be awesome.

562xp = 4.7 HP 13.4 lbs
Orginal 372xp = ?

372 is likely a better option for those tasks.

I plan to use the saw up north (WI) so its mainly hardwood trees in the 18-25in diameter. I have a 390xp if needed for the really large stuff.

That changes things a little.....if you have a 390Xp. Use the 390 for noodling and a 562Xp will work great on trees in the 18 to 25in range.

Usually I leave the 390 at home. Sorry should have specified:

Home = 390 and 346
Cabin = 550 and (372 or 562)

I like the 562 option for one reason just if its stolen. Will have to receipt and its easley attainable. The 372 I will no receipt, guess I could take a picture. Not so sure how insurance would work or do anything on a 10 year old saw with only a picture.

The 2 saws I grab going firewood cutting are my 372xp and my 390xp and most of the time the 372 gets used- very popular saw in our still active logging area and easy to work on- just did a carb rebuild on one last night while the owner watched, outside we went and fired er up, tuned her in and he was out of here in about an hour one happy camper.
