computerboy,For large trees I have an 088 magnum that is as bullet proof as you can get I think.only bad thing about is it weights over 30 lbs. with 48 inch bar and that makes it a pain to drag thur the woods, man does that thing cut though.For most logging I use a modified 372 husqvarna with a 20 or 28 inch bar for medium size trees.I also have an 066 and 046 and a 020 t for climbing.I do all my own repair work,just do trust someone else messing with my saws.I usually replace saws every 5 years.I can honestly say I've little to no problems with any of the above saws.If you would like a place to get saws a little cheaper let me know and I'll see if the guy can help.:D dan
 
How about this.

Try a new bar and sprocket. Even new ones are bad from the factory. I have seen Husky's do the same thing even the cheaper ones out thier too. All of them do have some bad apples out thier.
