Hi all, I'm interested in mounting a winch to the front of our bucket truck, 7-10 ton. What would you recommend, electric or go with a hydraulic unit?

I have a Runva 12000 lb winch, it works have winched my jackaroo a few times just for practice up and over a bank. Apart from that have never needed it, I think it was around $700 fitted. It's a piece of equipment you hope you never need but when you need it you want it to work
I think one of the 4wd mags did a torture test on several brands and from memory and you don't get what you pay for in this instance. My mate was let down by his Warn winch, just stopped on him. He does harder 4wding than I do and is much more experienced than me but he was very disappointed with it.
