I split year round but the majority is in the summer months then it tapers off in the fall and sporadically through the winter, snow permitting.

I cut anytime I can get to my cutting area. Means it has to be dry or I get stuck with my 2x truck. Normally no cutting, therefor, in winter. Here we are end of 1st week in January and the ground isn't even frozen. Looks like I will be cutting all winter now. Just talked to the landlord about trimming trees in thelower end of the willow buxh I have been working for him. "forget trimming, I want them ALL gone". Great, any day I want I can run down there, park right next to the trees on his graveled equipment lot and cut.

Splitting/piling. Normally do around 6 cords of rounds I hauled in the summer during the winter. Not this year. I have about 1 cord maple and a cord of willow left to be done. I'll work that manually just for the exercise.
