A friend gave this to me. Not a lot of info on this. I have never seen the tip of a bar like this,

Poulan made these in lots of colors for different stores. I had an orange Western Auto saw. Wizard 110 comes to mind.

The tip is supposed to help prevent kickback since it reduces the area at the upper side of the tip. I have found this type of bar to be good for plunge cutting when I'm cutting rail holes in fence posts.
