Wood stove or add on wood furnace?

Man that's big bucks for NG. Or when you say gas do you mean propane?

You didn't post about anything that would use much electricity either?
 
I will say with an add on furnace and your insulation you are going to burn a lot of wood. I am struggling to figure out the new EPA furnace but if you are new to wood burning then get an EPA furnace lol. I'd get an outdoor boiler before an outdoor furnace. If I had an old house I'd get a big wood stove on the first floor.

I feel your pain my last house was from the 1850s and I was paying 200+ a month for natural gas to use a boiler to keep the house at 62 in the winter.
