Husqvarna 55- Woods ported and MM. I bought this on AS and shortly after it stopped oiling right. It barely oils at all but it does a little. I've had less than 10 tanks through it. I don't remember what all new parts it has if any. Used 18" bar and chain comes with it. I was planning on asking $250 plus shipping but I discovered a mark on the piston when going for pics. I never looked at the piston when I bought it so I don't know if it was there the whole time but I've never had a problem starting it, running, cutting (aside from the oiler), etc. The right muffler bolt also stripped too, so I haven't got the nut back on. I'm not a judge of piston marks so I don't know if thats scoring or not. Starts and runs consistently, though. However, not going to ask $250 plus shipping due to the recent problem discoveries I think I'll just take some offers and the best will probably get it.

Nope, I don't have a guage. I'll get a video of it cutting soon.

The only thing I had around to cut.

The saw cuts strong but is too much hassle for me. The tensioner screw managed to work its way out while running today, also. So there is another thing to fix.

I'd like $150 shipped. Open to offers and trades.

Most 55's came with cylinders sporting open type transfer ports.
For reasons unknown, randomly some of the early ones had a cylinder very similar to Jred 590 and Partner 5000+ with the better performing closed port type transfers.
Bottom line, makes the saw a bit more desirable, particularly if you want to port it.

I have the same saw with similar scoring and took it apart to clean it up but really there was nothing to clean, no aluminum transfer and the bore was fine.
I just run it the same as you have been, as long as it's not getting worse it's probably fine.
Though if it were me I'd check it just because...

That and if you're selling a saw that's been ported by parties unknown, a lot of buyers would like to see pics of the bore to see if it looks done properly.
If you took the cylinder off to check you could also take pics there, a hassle on a saw you're already sick of dealing with, I know...
