What does osage orange look like? I just got some free wood and was told it was either mulberry or osage orange. Can't beat free wood

Here is what Osage Orange looks like when freshly cut, before it turns orange.

Looks like I got some mulberry. It has the white under the bark like in the pic.

I used to shoot some registered. I too stopped shooting a few years back, about the time they moved the Grand American out of Ohio. Cutting firewood is a much cheaper hobby. If you ever shot at Centerburg, we may have met.

muleberry or locust

well Minnesota ripper I looked at the bark pics and it dont look like locust which has a deeper furrowed bark id say its muleberry hope its settled everyone agree
