Tractor driven splitters I've seen but not chainsaws. This has got to be a classic!

Matus Winery has a very unique, vintage Von Ruden PTO driven chainsaw. Von Ruden is now the General Equipment Company. It is complete minus the hydraulic hoses. It's a unique piece from the 1940s-1950s. With your reply, please include an offer and contact number.

I'd post the pictures but haven't figured out how to do the direct link thing yet.

Interesting saw.
Wonder if it predates the HTMA stuff like Stanley, Fairmont. Neighbor uses a hydr saw (Italian or Israeli mfr?) in the apple orchards. wicked power for a hand held unit.

von ruden mfg used to be a mile down the road from me, now they moved an hour away to buffalo mn. A major product was rolseal hydr motors for robotics, and they still make gear pumps and motors. I wonder if it the same company.....

Fascinates me how companies sort of accidentally find a niche, until it dries up and disappears.

I think I've seen a newer variation of one, I think it was a Bobcat attachmant. Sam type of deal. It might have been a military deal, I've air powered chainsaws from WWII.

I have seen a few hydrolic chainsaws, man are they pricey.

gravely saws

Hard to see in the pic, but gravely used to make a wicked ol saw to fit their 2-wheel tractors.

That saw on the M-M is a bad dude!
