Young mango tree, withered and blackened fruits

First bloom of an eight year old mango.
No freeze.
First fruit of the year turned black after fertilization and within first few days of showing.

Any ideas? If it helps its crowded by a two year old macadamia tree.

Sounds similar to the black rot we get in stone fruits up here. Don't know much about mango though. Preventative fungicide apps are probably the ticket.

I Would also mabye think about an fungicide - hard to say - maybe you have some pics? Then it would be easier to make a diagnosis. Did u water it more than enough?

Over watering is a possibility I hadn't considered since its not in the spray of my sprinkler system.

Whats your soil PH?
I would be looking into possible micro-nutrient deficiency.
Manganese, zinc and boron are important for mango.
