hi there, if you experience zaps through the handle of any power equipment (spark zaps) what could be the most possible cause??
Any info would be appreciated

Many of the older saw designs had the spark plug right next to the rear handle. Although it has not happened to me, I have often thought it would be very easy to, inadvertently, get zapped through a knuckle....especially if it's a non-av saw with no rubber coating on the front handle!!! Could make one wet his pants uncontrollably!!! :surprised3:

If you don't have an isulated spark plug boot on the ignition lead and have a metal front handle the spark will jump to the handle and give you a high voltage cutting experience. How do I know this....well that what my contra lightning did when I first got it running and it had some sketchy make do parts on it.
