Thanks to all you folks that posted pics & vids!!!! Makes it better or worse, depending on how you look at it, for us dolts, that couldn't make it. Was sure looking forward to seeing some familiar faces again, and meeting some new ones. Like Roger (3000fps). And the rest of the old Poulan clan. Chris & Mark put on a great GTG by the looks of it! Hope its not the last. Believe me I know what it takes to put one on.

Its a shame too, that I couldn't get Tim's (Fossil) chair back to him. I'll just keep it in storage awhile longer.
My favorite pic is that one of Mark H. running that 5200!! LOL I think the yellow blood runs pretty deep in his veins. Probably won't have to compete with him for them green saws.

Don't worry about the chair Gregg. Keep it if you find it comfortable. It was too bad you couldn't make it.
You were missed.

I might note that Mark H said he was pretty impressed with the Poulans he ran. I hope he keeps his buys west of the Mississippi

I really did not do well taking enough pictures and videos this year. I was having too much fun.

Fossil running the same. I do love those bow saws.


Mark running one of his older Poulans. I think it was a Super 66 with a Super 68 top end on it.



Tim running Roger's really fast 70cc Poulan 445. That piece of red oak was very hard.



Roger running Gary's 5200 bow. Lots of power.



You just can't have too many pics of Mark running a Poulan 5200.




I didn't hear any gunfire so it must be getting at those PITA adjustment screws on that beautifully restored Pioneer 750 Mark has.

Nice picture you took there of me.

Got to do what you got to do sometimes. The 750 is a pain to get at the carb screws. I think the problem is the fuel pick up housing might have some crap in it. It was really corroded bad when I did it. I'll probably look for a replacement for it

Well guys I made it home today about 2 this afternoon. Unloaded some things and headed straight for a good shower.

Chris and Mark thank you very much for the GTG and it was worth every mile, and Chris I enjoyed talking with your parents probably because your Dad is the same age as myself. Just meeting everyone face to face and being able to run saws that I have only seen pictures of was quite the treat. I mean how often do you get to run a Solo twin and some of Mark's sand cast saws. Then there is the nice collection of Macs that Mark H brought and shared with others. I could go on and on about what a great job all those that put this on did but I do not want to get long winded. Let's just say that you guys who missed the GTG or have never been to one it was a great time. Oh in just in case your wondering it was a 2000 mile round trip for me.
Thanks very much guys and I hope to see you all again next year.

Ok guys got some of my pictures downloaded.


As you can see from the first pic that there was plenty of wood to cut and all at various sizes for all size of saws.


This next couple of pics is to show some of the wide selection of saws that were brought. There had to be hundreds of saws there. I believe there was a count taken when we signed in.



This pic also shows Mark Heimann's bench that he made showing some of his Macs. I thought it was pretty cool.



This was Modified Mark's chainsaw trailer. That was very cool Mark. Great idea.

In this pic Mopar Mike is playing some great music for us. Too bad we got interrupted by lunch, but we have to have our priorities.



In this pic you can see that it was lunch time. It does not get any better than this.

This first pic here is one of my favorites. Modified Mark's wheel stand. You just cannot get those race cars out
of your blood.



Then after lunch it was back to running more saws.



In this pic Mark Heimann was showing us his stuff. That is Tim/ fossil behind him and off to the left is Warped 5 and my self in the blue shirt next to him. I thought it interesting just to watch other people at times. You never know what you might learn.


Then last but not least was the competition cutting. It was really a lot of fun. No body really kept track of who had the fastest it was just a kick in the pants to run the saw against someone else.

Long drive Roger. I was thinking about Mark H who was driving up to Hamilton Ont. on Sunday for a business meeting on Monday and then I think back to Iowa.

That's about 1600 mi or so (with some good breaks in between).

I'm looking forward to another one in Hamilton, Mich. on Aug 22, hosted by another site member BWS-LLC (Ross). That one's coming up after I get back from vacation.

It's going to be a great summer.

Just something I want to say-I have been working on/with chainsaws since I was a kid. First one was a monster David Bradley and than a big Titan. Both were old when I got them more than 40 years ago. As time went by I found that when it came to actually working with a saw I wanted lighter/more powerful saws. Than once I started rebuilding/repairing and restoring saws I wanted saws I could easily obtain parts for. As of late I found myself leaning towards the "Screamer" aspect when it came to my saws.

BUT after Saturday and being around like 90% old school saws and just listening to them sing for all they were worth I decided I would back the truck up-per say.

This thing had sat in my shop for months and I couldn't wait for the owner to get it out of my way. Less than 24 hours after Chris and Marks GTG I did a 180 and now I am the new owner-I think it will fit it quite nicely next year. Just needs a little clean-up. LOL-

Funny thing ME changing direction but seriously after hearing all of those old saws I just had to.

I will GUARANTEE you that, in the right hands, that 051 will work 3 guys in the ground dragging brush and loading the trucks!!!
Looks to be as nice as my 056Super.

Tried to get around to a hand shake with everyone but BSin got in the way again.
Would have liked to have stayed longer but the date fell upon the same day as my cousins annual hog roast which I do the cooking for.
