Any more specs on this saw? Oiler? I am chomping at the bit for this one. Asked my dealer about it the other day and he had no idea it existed...since Stihl went with a short stroke on the 462 I am guessing they are using the same crank/stroke as the 362 with a larger piston? Hope it has enough low end to pull a 28 well with an oiler to match.

I’d say so since it’s the same weight but .5 more bhp it would be useless to get a 362 now unless if you wanted non mtronic

I think it is an evolution of 362 : i mean, it is the same crank and stroke of 362 : it changes the bore :

MS 400 in comparison of Husqvarna 372 XP :

About the same power (4.0 vs 4.1 Kw), but 0,8 KG lighter (5,8 Kg vs 6.6 kg)

Max torque is 4.1 nm for MS400 and 3.8 Nm for 372XP.

It is so hard to understood Stihl : they made a 6cc step from one saw to another , so human are confused

I've ran a stock 462 and two ported 500s. All with 28" bars. To me the performance difference doesn't come close to justifying the price. YMMV.

I did not run them on the same day, but outside of the weight of the 462 none of them made me say "wow".
