Thanks.Does anyone have a part # for a rim drive clutch for this?Sprocket drive a bit worn.

You asking for just the replaceable rim? Like 5-7 bucks anywhere.

or you looking for the rim clutch drum to replace a spur one?

Few pics to show what I am talking about and asking.

Big day ahead of me on the green monster:)

Been using it as my main saw for a couple months now and I have 30 odd to choose from.

I'm still running a spur on it. Can't post anything from the states at the moment and I have a few to use so I'll just keep running spurs until I run out

Love this saw. Just an absolute gem and dead reliable. To the point that I can take it out by itself

Need to get the fuel lines done on the orange girl n give it a rest.

Well…. Haven’t cut much since moving and was out clearing some area woods to put in an electric fence. The tune on the 3700 is off and it wasn’t cutting good so I used my Husky instead. I was cutting and my wife was using using our tractor to shove the piles of brush and wood out of the way. In the process she punctured the fuel line. I had her shut it off real quick and put my hand on the line to stop the leak. Had her run to the house to grab some tape so we could quick redneck patch it to drive it back to the work shop. She hopped on the golf cart and accidentally ran over the 3700. I had put it down to switch and hadn’t thought much of it. She was in a rush and didn’t see it. Bar is jacked and trash along with the chain. Case is a little beat up and I think the bolt that holds the anti vibe mount underneath for the handle is bent a little. May be able to straighten that in the vise. I have my hard nose 22” bar but need a new chain. Can find a bar cheap if I need to and need to look over the saw more.

Ended up using some plumbers emergency tape to fix the fuel line on the tractor and covered it with gorilla tape. Miraculously it seems it broke in a spot that I can cut the line at the puncture and shorten the line is all. There’s like an extra foot of fuel line so it should be an easier fix than expected. Ironic thing is I have the fuel shut off flipped off and it seems to be dripping from the fuel filter now but my hack job repair is dry.

Ghetto fuel line repair and case damage. Could be worse. Definitely fixable. Tore up a lot of stuff today between the tractor, saw, and broke the invisible fence wire while clearing too. Good times.

That sucks. Tools needed for the fix
Hammer big and small, depending on how it goes will you will know what to do with each one.
Big crescent wrench
Plires
Screw drivers
Heavy steel plate to beat upon.
Large pipe to tweak the handle
At least 2 handfuls of tools
Wd 40
The other tools will depend on what you find.
Good luck and you can't throw it away or more than 6 feet from where you are standing.
Keep us updated.

I would’ve been more mad at any of the things but it was all just dumb stuff happening that could’ve been avoided but also wasn’t unreasonable to happen based off of the situations. It sucks. Nothing is destroyed beyond repair or not replaceable. Sucks tearing stuff up but eh.

If we’re throwing more pity parties out my truck lost reverse the other day. Already replaced a trans in my suburban this year. Waiting for the new year to look at rebuilding it. The suburban’s 6 speed was $$$. The 4 speed in the truck I think is within my ability to rebuild. I need to fix the rear main seal on the truck and had been waiting for the trans to fail to do it. Guess I’ll be fixing that too and I’ll throw a trans cooler on too so I can tow the tractor with the truck finally.

I just purchased two small Poulan saws one is a xxv wood shark, the other is the exact same saw but marked skil. I had a craftsman in the past that looked the same.

I don't know if this is the right place but here goes.
I have had this saw for some time now and I don't use it much any more and was thinking about selling it. It has a bow setup with a fairly new chain. I bought it years ago for a backup for my 044. The thing is that saw has never let me down and to be frank with you guys I'm almost afraid to use it any more that thing is a beast. Chain saws are by nature dangerous, bow saws are killers if'in you ain't real careful. Any idea what I might ask for it. The only thing I know of that it might need is a fuel tank re-sealing I seem to remember that it had a small leak somewhere. The fuel and oil tank leaking was a common problem with the older Poulan saws.
