thanks to this thread i am trying just the steeper angle on the plunger. I just made it a bit steeper by grinding it on the belt sander. havent used it but it does seem to oil more with just that being done. 32" and this is the first time i have ever seen the chain wet with oil. when i get a chance to actually cut some wood instead of just piss revving it i will give an update.
Cutting the ramp angle is all you need to do. I cut mine pretty steep and use it with a 36" bar and it still slings the oil off the nose of the bar and still wet underneath.

Make sure to open the oil ports on your bars.

Done and done...

Seeing that the pump rebuild kit is NLA..
old thread, but increasing oil is what I was searching for.

I just got an oil pump RB kit yesterday from dealer for $13 shipped to me. He had to order from Dolmar so I assume it is still available. Whole pump is $60 ouch.
Under the part number on the bag is 21.12.2006
This might mean it was made in 2006 and on the shelf somewhere. If so, I better order a couple more for spares.

If you build the aluminum screws, I am interested.

Interesting topic, is there an o-ring required on the pump ? Mine is leaking oil by the gear and I dismantled it to find no o-ring on the plunger. Only a groove on the top and on the bottom. I also tried to fix the usual leak by 3d printing a stud and inserting it in the output side of the pump.

I know this is an old thread but I talked a machinist friend into making the adjuster screw for me. I’m
just wondering how much longer to make the nub? I’d like to find the sweet spot to make it 1:1. If I can make it happen and he’s up for it , I will have them made for other people.

bringing this back up , so how did things turn out any pieces you are selling ect i run longish bars on my 64xx ans 79xx units and yep miserly on the oil. addtionally haven't been able to find a whole pump. although i do have 2 of the rebuild kits- sure do not need less oil though.
