I'm looking for a specific bar - or something close to it - for a minty Pro Mac 800. Looking for 28", black with yellow lettering, sprocket tip, set up for 3/8" .050 or .058 or .063. I'd do .404 if I had to.

No luck finding that on eBay. No luck with Chainsawr. Tried Google searches but no joy.

In the past I recall seeing folks with large stashes of NOS McCulloch bars that they were selling, but can't seem to find them. Anyone know who might be selling (or hoarding) something like this?

Thanks

Scott

@heimannm might be able to help you find some. Or, you could just find a normal 28" Windsor bar and have it painted/coated to match. Sugar creek sells stencil kits, I believe.

Yes, Sugar Creek does sell stencil kits, but I sure hate to give Joe any business. He has been putting me off on a decal kit for a Jonsereds 110 for over a year.

I have been in touch with Mark H. He's going to check to see what he has.

Thanks

I learned one thing about ebay, you find what your looking for when your looking for other stuff. Like remington chainsaw, vintage remington chainsaw, vintage chainsaws all yield different listings. Same with parts one search says 38 listings other search yields 1600+ listings :crazy2:

I take it that the saw is a running display piece? If not it would be slicing and dicing with that 16" :chainsaw:

Correct. It's a nice PM 800. Someone else might put it to work, but I don't think I will, unless it's for a test cut or two.

Thanks

Troof!!! Or you find 10 of what you're looking for at an unbelievable price after you just paid thru the nose for a single.

I have a 800 in the same shape with the original 28” bar on it. I do use it two or 3 times a year in clean wood. I have a spare 28” Oregon bar for it I bought 15 years ago but haven’t had to use it yet. They’re tough as nails saws.
Is the original bar black with yellow lettering?

Thanks
