Makita Dolmar DC 7900 for milling

I'm beginning to look at bigger saws. I bought a Granberg mill that accommodates a up to a 30 inch bar. I haven't had an opportunity yet to try it out. My biggest saw is a Jonsered 2260, a Husqvarna 562 with a k095 bar mount. I have a 20 inch bar, But Im going to try a 24 inch or 28 inch bar with mill as well. If money wasn't an obstacle would a 572xp be a big enough step up or would bigger be better like the Stihl MS500i or 592xp...
The 592xp is my want for sure. I do help out neighbors, friends and family with trees occasionally and occasionally run into bigger chunks that a larger saw would be handy.

This Dolamar looks like a compromise in power and price. Any thoughts? Not planning on purchasing anything immediately but before this upcoming fall.

It is perfect in my opinion, that said I'm milling spruce with a 20".
395? does it have a side access tensioner? because if it dont that is a drag to say the least if you mill aint it?

This is done with a 038/381 copy cat, not with the authority of a 7910. But I have some photos somewhere of that too.

That s 1", 1,5" and 2" in a chaos.

If you use a hand worked mill jigg arrangement like an alaskan fixture, you want to consider the weight of the powerhead versus the weight of the guide bar.
With a light weight setup and a short bar like this, the 90cc weight class might be "uncomfortable". 13 feet takes time, nomatter what saw you have.

If you want to mill "a lot" of hardwood above 24", I would recommend the 660/661. Above 28/30" - get a 120cc tractor and some additional patience.
