I recently purchased an oil and fuel cap from Leon Saw Parts off eBay. When received, I installed the fuel cap to test my saw. Gas started spraying out of the cap vent hole. Apparently it is missing one or more parts (duckbill vent, maybe other).

Anyone know exactly what the cap should have on it?

Your 3rd pic has the star washer that holds the duckbill in so you just need the duckbill if that is your cap.

Must admit- not a well followed series way over here- so which is the crappier version?
They were pretty phenomenal saws in the day. I started working for my Dad, before they made small climbing saws. When the Super EZ came out we gave them to all of our climbers. Then we hired a guy that used an XV, basically the same as a 25. Next thing you know all of our guys wanted one. I wanted one a couple years ago for the shelf and they still bring good money, more than I was willing to pay. I finally found one in Sears colors. I think they called it an Explorer? Still a running little saw.

Most like the older heavier versions like pictured above but I prefer the micro version 2300 myself. Good powerful little saws I believe were roughly 38cc. The micros came in 1.8, 2.0 and 2.3 which was the 38cc.

yes, that is my cap. i felt bad asking for a refund, since it came not functioning properly. didn't know what was missing. suppose i have to discover what size duckbill i need. anyone?

i don't think leon likes me now (think soup nazi on seinfeld!). no gas caps for you!

Leon is a great guy and won't hold that against you. I'd say you should have just called him first. He's a Homelite guy, but he may know all the nuances of that saw too. He has no problem making it good.

Not sure on the size but I believe the part# is 530026119.

Poulan Hubnter, what do you think of my little 1968 Poulan Super 68?

Thx for the offer! I have a local Husqvarna dealer gonna call tomorrow to see if they have any in stock. You’re next in line!

Nice...I am really not a sandcast poulan guy...now don’t get me wrong I like them and have owned a few.Just can’t imagine feeding the kids that are now feeding their own kids lol with one. Now a guy like @Modifiedmark now he’s the guy that is up on them and has some beautiful poulans. I’ve even had the honor of running a few of his saws in the past at a few different GTG’s with 2 of them being the Poulan Lovers GTG at @OhioGregg. Both guys are top notch diehard Poulan guys. Either way, nice saw!

Yep. You need a duck bill. Got a bag full for cheap. Only needed one. Fixed my fuel leaking. I used a bic pen to push it into place.
