I keep buckshot in the M4 that we use for home protection, but I also keep a 45/70 loaded right next to it.
Trying to kill a squatch who raids your fridge?... damn son give them time to run. Maybe count to three or two?

A lot of people don’t realize the 1911 was the first gun with interchangeable Back straps, aka the main spring housing. This was actually one of the big changes with the 1911A1 in 1926 was to go with the arched main spring housing.

Myself, I prefer the older flat style main spring housing.

The 1911 was kind of designed for all hands to be able to use it. I’m 6’10” 350lb with big hands and long fingers, the wife unit is 5’4” with medium size gloves and has no problem shooting the 1911.

Yea thanks. Target sports USA is another.

Bit the bullet yesterday and ordered a new truck. Silverado 3500 4wd WT. Prices for trucks have been crazy since covid . Most trucks around here are crew cab with a short bed and I wanted the regular cab 8' bed for firewood and anything else.

May I recommend a headache rack? Don't ask me why I think they are a good idea. Let's just say I know how to get windows out of trucks in bone yards and install them in trucks with missing rear windows.

I second this! I won't own a truck without one.

Pete went north today to CT looking at Nissan pu trucks.

When I lived south of the border, and south of the Mason Dixon line, I had one of these colt .22's. my favorite caliber to shoot. It's cheap and you don't need 7 miles in all directions. Lol. Fixed heavy barrel made it surprisingly accurate and easy to shoot. Here north of the border in the People's Republic of Ontario, it's very difficult to own cordless hole punchers. 🤣. I miss shooting targets on the weekends. For home defense I use a Chihuahua/Jack Russell cross and a Bluetick Coonhound, one of em will lick you to death!Screenshot_20230129-201153.png

This is how far I got on the new winch mount. Tried ro make it a but lighter and less clunky then the old one. Also shrank it down to 16" above deck height from 24". Need to figure out some more bracing but you get the general idea. Started raining around 2 so I had to clean up quick and pack it in. Which gave me some time to clean up the work bench (just a little) I have a blower and 346xp to work on from a fellow forum member.
