I’ve bought several items from him without issue. One time I bought a clutch cover and had it sent to the customers address. USPS said it wasn’t a deliverable address and returned to him. And then he wouldn’t offer me a refund of anything. He said I would have to buy it again and then have it sent to the correct address, and called me a dumbass for not giving him the correct address the first time. I asked for a refund minus his shipping cost and he refused. Ended up going through eBay and they gave me a complete refund including shipping. His dumbassery got the better of him there
Wow about 20 years ago he went and picked up a pallet of (10) 029/290's I bought from the USFS for me He boxed and mailed them to me on my shipping account. He did not make a dime and did that cause he was a good guy. One night we were Bs'ing on the phone and I shot him an offer on a saw. He said that was too much and countered much lower. I guess others have had different experiences.

That sucks. I had an incedent tonight. Some guy had a 262xp for sale for $25. I happened to see it 5 minutes after he posted. Used but good shape. I said I’ll take it he said I’ll send address in morning. 15 minutes later he says oh my wife gave it away after I took the picture. Well **** you ahmad. Not my fault you didn’t know what you had and priced too low. I told him he’s a liar, be a man and tell me that someone after me offered more and you took it. No reply. No guts. Pissed me off.

I disagree, Ebay is an issue. They are charging fees on expenses they are not incurring. They are charging fees on shipping that they do not pay nor have a single thing to do with. They are charging fees on state sales taxes. They are charging state sales taxes ABOVE what they collect.
It’s ******** to pay taxes on something that was already taxed! I don’t bother selling there anymore. Occasionally I buy.

Maybe he’s become bipolar or just so busy that he does some dumb **** now. I’ve heard of others on here with similar experiences. Maybe there are people who don’t refute his stupidity so he’s become accustomed to them laying down when he tells them to. Hell idk

I wonder how many folks he has working for him answering messages. I know years ago he had at least one.

Interesting, I’ve bought many parts from them over several years and never an issue.

He should have paid my shipping cost for returning his mistake. Principle of the thing.

Particularly after he told me on the phone that he had what I needed. He didn't.

Why was the case closed?
That's my question, along with "Why didn't the OP immediately contact ebay and demand either a return&refund or fulfillment of the original, agreed-upon deal?"

Ebay doesn't tolerate fraudulent sellers.

Well, apparently something has changed. I bought a Denon stereo amplifier from a guy about a month ago that was supposed to be tested . The input relays jump all over the place. I started the process and the first thing that came up was this seller doesn't except returns.
So, it says you may still be protected by eBay buyer protection. They want a photo like that is going to tell anything. It's not damaged.

Anyhow, I was afraid to sell saws on eBay since you can ruin one in just a few minutes.

Didn't know that you could just not except returns now.

My wife has a store on eBay. As long as you ship what you say you've got there's not a problem. It's not eBay that's the problem, it's crappy sellers. Doesn't matter if he they say no returns if you don't get what is pictured and described you can file a "not as described" case with eBay and they're supposed to send you a shipping label at the sellers expense for you to ship it back and a refund is supposed to be issued.
All users are bound by the terms and conditions to use ebay. I think it also would count a using a card in a remote transaction as opposed to signing a slip when using a card. There are many listings that state stuff contrary to the user agreement Ebay chooses to like you say email out a shippig label you can print.

The practice of raising the price to insane levels so no one will buy it when it is not really in stock is against the terms and conditions, or it was not too long ago.

I was wondering if when you see a $50 item for $1700 and it says only one left that it is just a place holder until they get some more in and not have to redo the whole ad.

Money laundering?

IRS: "Where'd you get all this munny?"

Pablo Escobar: "Profit from selling bottle openers for $1500 apiece!"

IRS: "Okey doke, as long as we get our cut."

This is exactly why after 20 years of selling I quit years ago, And it was always about the buyer, They seem to forget the seller pays them their fees , Not the buyer. (Which by the way the fees increased by 13% over the time I was selling). A lot of the little guys have left, When they switched over to Ebay being the one paying you when someone buys something, Instead of Paypal, A lot of people left. When Ebay took over payments it took a few days to get paid. When Paypal was the payer, You were payed instantly. Now I see Ebay is promoting "Express Payouts" Which they charge a fee to get your money within 30 minutes, What a joke.

And yes, Ebay did stop negative feedback, But only for buyers, So if someone bid on your auction and didn't pay, You can't leave a negative feedback for them or any buyer, It's a joke. And then when me, As a buyer leaves a negative for a dishonest seller, Such as them saying "Ships From USA" But instead it ships from China Or India, Your negative feedback gets removed. Ebay will have a reckoning, It's coming.

That is not what that's about, It takes quite a bit of time to create a listing, No one wants to do that over again, They simply put a ridiculous price on the listing when there is only one item left until they refill their stock, And then put the price back to normal.

Sounds a lot like the government, I stopped selling on ebay years ago, they want it all , greedy sobs \
I do miss the extra cash though I gave a lot of stuff away on account of sorry lying buyers never got a bad feedback though

I still sell saw parts on ebay occasionally if the part is worth the time. I document everything including video of myself packaging up an item. Sounds crazy but thats the world we live in. One of the biggest things thats saved my ass more than once is PURCHASING THE SHIPPING LABEL THROUGH EBAY. Couple of times the buyer tried to say they didn't get an item but tracking said otherwise. Well they provide their verified address through ebay and thats what address goes on the label generated by eBay. If you hand write a label and just provide tracking later, the seller says they didn't get it, ebay assumes you screwed up the shipping address and sides with the buyer.

Here is a story. I sold a Kenwood TS-950SD to a guy in Georgia through eBay. Weighs maybe 60 pounds. Shipped it UPS. It was in a Home Depot heavy duty box with 8 inches of bubble wrap in every direction.. I just laid the wrap down on the carpet and rolled the rig over and over until it was the right size for their large box.
I have shipped heavy equipment all over the world that way.
Anyhow, he said it was damaged in shipping. Problem was he had the box in the photos and there was not a dent on it.
He dropped it trying to get it un wrapped is what happened. I talked to him on the phone. Eighty year old man with no money. He said it worked fine , just had a dent in the back corner.
I told him I would refund his money, $600, and just keep the thing. So, I did.
In the meantime I had to talk to a human being at eBay and explain why I wasn't sending a return label. Otherwise I would get demerits or something.
Cool thing is the guy refunded me $300 of my refund.
It's a strange world.

They put the price high then set it to auto relist. When it does not sell it automatically gets relisted and the seller does not have to do anything.
