I am currently running a ported 262xp with .325 8T small spline sprocket. I use 16" bar and the saw has plenty of power to run a bigger sprocket. What is best to do? Csn I find 9T small spline rim out there, or do I need to convert to 3/8 8T?

I run 7T 3/8 20” Tsumura Light bar on my ported 262 , handles it like nothing 👍

Did you try lowering the depth gauges a bunch?
I have a pretty strong 54cc saw with .325 chain, I run a 8 pin rim and low depth gauges, it cuts pretty good like this. Out of the box chain doesnt put much load on the saw, you need to shove down on it all the time.

I run a similar setup to squareground on my 262, I even have my 3/8 full chisel chain set with 10 thou lower than stock rackers, and it will cut very quickly in hardwood.
Try dropping your depth gauges down, it will cut much more aggressively and you won't have to lean on it. The downside is that it gets grabby in small wood.

Where did you get the 325 9s?
The one is 6K with the chain around it. Those are pricey and dont last as long for work IMO.

The other I ordered online that is normal rims. Cant recall wear now. But just search online. Can buy like 4-5 of those to cost of 1 6K.

Heck dont forget small and standard size. I dont know what your running. 6K might be your only choice if small.

Quick search shows Hl sells them

Hm, they don't have a small spline 325 in a 9t.
I wouldn't mind trying one on my Dozer Dan 346
I tried the larger rims on my 066 years ago but wasn't impressed.
Wound up selling them here :p

It looks like 6k has them, however

Switch the 346 to standard rim set ups. Thats what I had done on my 2 PP346 done by Dan.
I have a thread on it on my old chainsawrepair website the parts for swap.
