How many people here grease their bar sprocket? I was told not to do it because once you do then it has to be done every day and it can cause saw dust to jamb everything up.

Curious as to what people on here do, grease or not?

Yep.

Got it into my head I'm supposed to grease 'em a long time ago, and ain't quit.

Justa little dab each time the saw is broken out seems to work fine.

Has to be a "Special" grease though LOL!!

GAAAAARRRRRYYYYY.:D

Stay safe!

i seam to always forget about it.

maybe if i had a spiffy grease gun.

but those plastic grease injectors that come from husky are weaksauce.

never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever. i own three production saws, one sentimental saw, and take care of my dads and a couple friends. none of the, get greased either.

dont start, or do it all the time. but dont start is easier.

Another reason to use Stihl bars. Never need greased, and they last a long time.

Non greaseable tip from Stihl, wow, somebody figured it out a long time ago.

No, never have on any bar of any brand, and I have never had a problem with the bar tip sprockets.

However, I do feed it a little extra bar oil when using a new bar for the first time, or maybe if the bar hasn't been used for a very long time, but that's it.
