    Fiskars Super Splitting Axe

    Got the Fiskars Super Splitting Axe from Santa! Took it out today and busted up some red oak rounds with it. I'm impressed. I like it. The handle has some biteback in it, but this thing works!

    Good day, I was curious in knowing if this tree (I believe it is an ash) is dying or just growing. There are a couple more smaller branches not pictured, that the bark appears to be bursting open as well. Thanks

    Cherry bark causing problems for splitting

    I cut up a fallen cherry into rounds to split for firewood. The wood is very green, but I have been having difficulties splitting it because of the bark.
