I bought a cabin a few months ago, so this is my 1st winter there.

I left supply of unmixed chainsaw 2 cycles oil at the cabin, where temperature is constantly well below freezing (average 10F). Can this oil goes bad if left there all winter ?

Usually at home I keep oil inside the house so I never had that question.

Thanks,

Mine stays outside in my shed or garage. I buy my mix in bottles for 5 gallons. When I'm making a batch, I put the bottle under the heater in my truck to thin it down so it will pour and mix. Even back in the 70's we kept a couple bottles on each truck and they stayed outside all the time. To me, where it has only dipped below 0 a hand full of times in my life, keeping it inside just makes it easier to pour.

I store husky Xp+ in the plastic bottles never a problem, but when the oil is cold, I like to warm it up before I mix it up. I wash out the plastic bottles at the gas pump to get every drop of oil in the gas.

The coldest temps I cut was 10 degrees F. Hot coffee, donuts, milk chocolate keeps me pumped.
