I am selling m 2005 Ford f-550. 4 wheel drive, auto, 84” cab to axle. 182k miles. Runs good. I bought this truck a few years ago as a stateside dump truck. I put on an aluminum chipper canopy and ram it for a few years. Unfortunately California won’t let us run the older trucks anymore. So I removed the dump system and put it on a new truck. This one served us well. Has a lot of power. It developed a battery draw before I removed the body. But i never addressed it because we weren’t using it anymore. But only seemed to be a problem if it sat for long periods of time. It is a great truck. It has a few scratches and dents as it is almost 20 years old. It had a remanufactured engine put in before I bought it. I am asking $ 12,500 o.b.o. Please message me or call if interested. Sam 805-610-8266.

Nice 6.0. I wonder if they put the larger Turbo on with the replacement engine or kept the 05 one.

I think the 04/05 6.0L had a main crank recall, this would probably be the reason for the replacement.

I love a good 6.0. They get a bad rap, but once you know them and fix their little quirks...it may be one of the best diesels around. You can actually work on it without breaking brittle plastic connectors everywhere.

The biggest things with those...change your coolant. Often.

Yeah it actually sold about a month ago. It’s tough to sell these trucks in Cali. They have really made it difficult here. But I’m glad somebody got it that can use it.

What are they doing to make it tough?
The 6.0 fords have egr cooler issues, most delete it and if your in a state like california it will cost you thousands to get a real cooler installed to meet emissions..6.0 also suffered head gasket failures hand over fist if the egr cooler was not addressed early on.
