266se

i have a 266se that i'm working on, i replaced crank seals & rebuild the carburetor. used a mityvac and it held pressure.
it is running but the H air jet isn't doing what i think it should, while turning it counter clockwise it really doesn't effect the saw!? i've always tuned my saws by ear.
this saw is got me confused! my other saws i can hold throttle down and slowly turn H screw in or out find that sweet spot!? any help?

You might have some crap in the carb, did you unscrew the H and L jets when you cleaned the carb?

I’ve noticed with my 266 I take the ol 163 off and use the 260 tillitson from a 272 and they run better
