I got a Husky 338XPT years ago from my son-in-law and I used it quite a bit. It was the first "pro" level saw I'd had. After using it for a while it started acting up. Will start but die almost immediately. Generally I'd tackle it myself, but it didn't take much disassembly for me to figure out this tiny thing is maddening to work on. I'd just as soon send it to someone that is familiar with these so I can have my old buddy back. I actually replaced it with an Echo 2511T that I'm happy with, but would like to put the 338 on my tractor.

Not impressed with the local Husky dealer enough to let them work on it. I went to get a bar for my 357XP and he asked "when did they make that saw?".
