not sure how paypal works, but why specify friends and family? I know I wouldnt send someone money using F&F, goods and services is allot safer

I was seeing whats up lol, maybe im just paranoid but ive heard of too many people being scammed thru F&F and not being able to get their money back

Friends and family is mainly recommended for members that have been on here a long time and are trusted sellers. I always give the option of either but usually ask you pay the 3% fee under g&s.

Is there little to no recourse through 'friends and family?'

I've been thinking about getting a PayPal account. Last time I had one was back in the early 2000s when it was still new, uncomplicated, and mostly free. Then the fees got crazy at one point.

If you send as friends and family and you’re bank account is linked to PayPal there are no fees from the seller or buyer. But if it is someone that is new or may have a bad rap on here it is highly recommended to pay as goods and services. If you as a buyer pay with a cc as friends and family it will charge you 3%

No protection if you pay as friends and family. No personal info is exchanged.

It's a bit over 3% they added a per transaction fee as well.

The drawback is your using a third party’s service without paying for it. Do you get paid for your work?

Not necessarily if you don’t have a direct link to your bank account they will still hit you with fees if using a credit or even debit card. Sorry for hijacking you’re thread Paul.
