I have owned a 394xp for years and used it milling. The other day it just stopped working. So I took the saw apart. Did some testing. Fuel, air and spark. I have fuel and air but no spark. I cleaned up the coil and flywheel, to see if that helped but no. Tested the kill switch and that worked.
I was looking at 394xp coils and the ones see listed are not the same as the one I have. I think the coil is from 272xp.
So my question is, order the 272xp or go for 394xp coil?

In my experience- coils do not just up and die, from good to dead in an instant. Usually they prefer to die slowly, get hot and cackle out, cool down and will work again, do that for a while and then die fully.
If you disconnect the blue wire at the coil- is there spark?
How did you "test" the switch?
Is the switch still tab grounded to the case?
Tried a new plug?
Tested with a spark tester?
Confirmed correct air gap?
Confirmed strong flywheel magnets?
