I got the carb put back together and the saw runs well, a lot of compression. At this point I’m not sure what the problem was other than many. Was it the solenoid, coil? It didn’t have a fuel filter, that’s a problem on any saw especially critical on these. No metering diaphragm so no fuel getting past the barb. No clutch springs is a major problem. Chain spinning constantly. Along with the broken isolator/brake spring mount. This is the most I’ve seen missing/broken on one saw and a saw that’s not that old. Onto the clutch springs. Are those specific to the 661 or do other models use them. My dealer is good but getting parts from them can be a long wait.
