A well sharpened chain?

I'd give it 1 Star. The cutting angle looks close to 90*. Also, bad form for getting into the side plate. It apears to be done with a grinder. Need different grinder settings. Look at a factory chain and try to duplicate or at least get the cutter to look like one that was filed with a file guide. Chain manufactures publish the desired angles for a given chain and depth gauge relief. Consistency is key. With a grinder it should be nearly perfect. All the cutters and both sides need to be both correct and all identical. Keep trying. Youtube should have something useful. Also, $5 a chain is stupid cheap. I think minimum wage pays better than that....

On a scale of 1 to 10 what's the call on this. Guys charging $5 a chain.
It is not on the scale of 1-10. A lower number is required.

The grinding rock is not cutting the metal away properly. Too much burr appears to indicate a pressured grind or improper grinding wheel grit. The positive seems to be that the cutter was not overheated/burned in the effort to hack it away.
