Advice on my first port job..husky 359

Hell y’all... I decided to try an easy first port job and got a little carried away I think. I’ve searched for pics of the port jobs on the lower transfers but vans find one suitable to help me figure out if I screwed up. I removed the covers and began to round the edges of the lower port..... here’s the pics. So what I did was smooth out the sharper edges on the sides of the lower port and decided to get rid of the sharp points on the side all together. Was I supposed to not do this? Or am I still ok?

That's about what I do, only yours looks neater than mine.
One of the top porters on these forums says not to remove the dividers in the covers & the cyl., I find he is right, I got more power leaving them in, just sharpen the end of em a bit.
Base gasket delete & a muff. mod. will put a smile on your face.

Once you've broken the base gasket surface it doesn't matter if you remove the material above it, except for retaining compression in the case. Smoothing sharp edges is always good, and creating a clear path for the charge to flow. The smooth surface is not critical in the transfers. Also be aware of your transfer cover gasket surface when opening the lowers.

The lower ends of the dividers are blunt, make em a bit more pointy.

Here’s some progress shots. I can’t decide if I need to smooth out and flatten the decider between the upper and lower transfers... is that a good idea or should I leave the a bit more round.

Do not grind away the dividers they create a 4 transfer port system which is better than two.

No I won’t grind the divider any more. I am actually talking about the piece of aluminum that the divider is on. Sorry about the vague question. Sorry
