I have a cedar elm (I think) that has a weird thick double knot hole appendage that is larger around than the limb it is on. This is outlined in red. Seems a squirrel or something has been bringing some debris into one of them.
It's sort of hard to see in the pic the how the main limb comes out of the tree I drew a red line for that. Should I do anything about this, trim it in any fashion?
