the pic showing the carb screen, it looks quite blocked up, as Benwa commented on also.

if that screen is dirty after you cleaned it ? then how clean did you really clean it.
 
I guess it would be possible that the new aftermarket carb would exhibit the exact same symptom of the cleaned OEM carb
which is, fire over on choke, then goto fast idle and blurb out quick.
It seems too silly that both a cleaned OEM carb, and a NEW chinesium carb do the same thing.

so I am blaming the aftermarket intake boot and that oddball white plastic ring against the carb.

OEM stihl intake manifold/white plastic thing are on order.

beyond that, I will likely toss it into a fire.
 
My experience with the AM carburetors is I would tune them but the next time I started it Id have to retune. I really tried to force them to work but failed most of the time. Oddly the 4 cycle AM carbs I have tried have mostly worked well.
