I’m a bit of a tree geek in zone 5ish. Seems to go in spirts. I was into shrubs for a bit than deciduous trees. Mostly European Beech and Gingkos. At first I didn’t know about all the varieties. Ho boy!
Than I found conifers. Holy cow is there a huge palate to paint the planet with.
Curious if there are any other collectors out there?

I've probably got 100 cultivars that I've planted around the house and yard. Hardly any of them native. 15 or so Japanese maples....lots of conifers. We had more at one time but I'm letting native trees take over as they usually grow faster. We have a golden cultivar of Dawn Redwood that is stunning in the spring and is almost 50ft tall now.
