ART Positioner question

Hey guys I finally got a ART Positioner as it was recently on sale. After taking it apart to install it on my tritech flip line and trying it out in the garage I noticed that I was easily able to release under load but tending slack doesn't seem to be as smooth as I thought it would be. It works fine but I'll be reviews on it said that it is smooth as butter so I was just wondering if it will get smoother as the cam wears in? I have used wire core flip lines with the climb right rope grab and also a pressure with pinto pulley and this seems to be about the same. Curious what you guys have experienced
