LET THE BUYER BEWARE!

Ran across this combined spinner / breaker set on eBay (multiple seller listings).

I spoke to one of the main Archer importers / distributors about it.

It is NOT an Archer product.
It is NOT made in the USA.
It is not even a ‘knockoff’ (Archer does not make a similar model).

It is just a rip-off of their brand name, applied to a cheaply made product.

For reference, note how many of the ads for these show bicycle chain, or industrial roller chain, in the background!

Note: Archer DOES sell a version of the Tecomec spinner and breaker, which is good quality, and can be a good deal.

Archer sells a VERSION of the Tecomec gear- or a cheap imitation just like the one pictured (okay maybe with slight better quality control).
Archer do not make the gear they sell- they have cheaper versions bulk bought branded for them.
Archer rep says their standard spinners and breakers are manufactured by Tecomec. Just like Tecomec makes them for Oregon, and other companies.

These cheaper, ‘COMBO’ are fraudulently labeled with the ‘Archer’ name.

There are some quality, combined sets from STIHL, and maybe others, but these aren’t them. Poorer quality, parts not available, etc.

Yeah, trying to reach out to different groups.
Looks like that one I recall HF maybe handles many years ago.
I’m not a fan of cheap tools, chains, etc. But, if somebody makes that choice, it’s up to them.

It’s a different situation when companies counterfeit products with cheap imitations, or clones; steal brand names (STIHL, Oregon, etc.).

This one caught my eye when searching for the ‘good’ Archer set, and wanted to give folks a ‘heads up’ that they might not be getting what they are expecting.

Yes that's right, most of the Archer branded gear is manufactured in China ( all their bars and chain ), certainly not manufactured in Australia or the US, I have had experience with the parts etc - cheap and nasty and they make a LOT of money on this gear.
