Our 1999 200XP was diagnosed with a "dusted" engine when the unit was having the (second) turbo unit replaced. They claim the problem was caused by a dirty air filter. The machine has only 116 hours on it.

We have a 1994 200 Bandit that has not given us any trouble and is maintained in the same way.

Has anyone else has any problems with Brush Bandits that have Cummins turbo diesels?

How often do you clean the air filter? It should be removed and cleaned (i.e. blown out)at least once a week. Also, check for air leaks in the filter housing and hoses. Maybe the filter is damaged or its the wrong size and dirty air is being sucked into the engine.

I've got 2 Bandits, but I'm looking at Morbarks when its time to replace them.

I had problems with Bandit service at a previouse employer. Every chance I get I tell the sales staff why I won't buy a Bandit.

Mybe you will be joining me?
