20220725_173145.jpgAbout 1/3 of this tree fell during a storm this weekend. I'm not even sure what type of tree it is. I thought Apple, but maybe crab apple? Any way, beside the damage to the trunk, I can now see that the majority of branches in the center appear to be dead. Can this tree be saved or should I cut it down? Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

as you can see, water constantly gets down into the crotches of the tree and weakens the tree.

Time to go. If you like the Bradford pears, just plant another, they grow quickly
