Chain adjustment for 12” dime tip 1/4 pitch

Just curious how loose chain should be for chainsaw carving. This chain is used on a Stihl MS250.

Oregon 25ap is rated for 38cc,. 13rm is a bit more robust. I would think on a small sized nose you could get a lot of heat. Probably as tight as possible without too much heat. Try starting with one or two scrench screwdriver thicknesses sag off the bottom, depends on length as well. Just guessing.

I was running that combo on an 015AV. Haven't run it in a while but think I had to leave it a little loose. I'll try to get a pic.
