I'm off to bed myself to many late nights in grampas shop and Early mornings getting everything ready to go. Had a good time once again and seeing the smile on Denny's face when he got his new toy was priceless. Denny is a very deserving person of that saw.

A few more, after burning through 40 cords at Denny's we headed to a neighbor's for lunch, because hey, cutting wood cannot be done on cookies and cinnamon rolls alone (well it can, but we're connoisseurs of fine food, and the ladies of Interfaith, who I neglected to get a picture of, can cook and how!

12 more cords here, but cutting to OWB length, so less sawing:

Break time, some of the cutters were starting to show the effects of all that fresh air and good food:

Finished product, with the owner of the wood, a nice guy who's had more than his share of medical problems. I forgot his name, sorry:

Another shot of the finish:

By request, there's also a picture up on the WTF thread in the off topic section as well.

Does anyone have pics of the log loads at Denny's before we started? I have a video of the aftermath uploading, but neglected to get a before shot.

I have before, during and after videos and will get them loaded as soon as I can. I talked to Denny at the end and he said this is the farthest ahead he as ever been but is only a year at best. With all that oak, it would sure be nice to get him 2+ years ahead to give that oak a chance to season.

Couple quick videos, first a clip of Denny getting busy with the 5100:

And a walkthrough of the finished woodpiles at Denny's. Sorry the video is a bit jerky:

Got 4 videos from Sunday. Didn't take any time to edit them.

Getting started

The last one seems to have gone missing. I'll get it up as soon as the first GTG video finishes uploading.

And here is the last one. I had to reload it up on YouTube.

looks good guys wish that i could have been there but I will have to wait for the spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We missed you too and I know you would've been a lot of help with your 026. 3 cuts, wait a half hour to let it cool down and 3 more cuts. But, they would've been fast cuts! :hmm3grin2orange:

You can get your revenge over in the WTF thread (if you haven't allready!!)

No revenge. Seriously, I would've preferred to get the 2153 but after running 10 tanks through the 346 yesterday, I think I made the right choice. I know the difference of the angle on the handle isn't much but it makes a big difference in how it feels to me.

Glad some members got video and pics of the sawing frenzy! The day flew by for me, nice to get some fresh gas ran through the saws after sitting most of the summer and enjoy another great day outdoors.

So when is Denny having the next one? :)

He still has all the standing trees on his property that need to be cut. Maybe in the spring???
