This tree is in South Miami. Been growing well for the past 5 years. But getting what looks like rust stains and holes in the bark as deep as 3/4". Losing some bark at the base. I'm not sure this is the exact variety but it looks very similar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You! I believe that you are correct. The tree is getting a lot of sprinkler water. I am cutting back on the water, removing some of the grass surrounding the tree and doing a soil drench. Hopefully the tree will recover.
