I picked up two Husky 550 ‘s at the dump .

Guy at the dump is not allowed to scoop them.

He said some cottager in a land rover left them, saying both were running last year, but neither will start now.

So I gassed the better looking one up, it’s a 2015 with the A 12 carb.

Not even a burp, nothing .

It has spark.

I put a bit of gas in through the spark plug hole ,,nothing .

I noticed it was easy to pull and had the same resistance with decompression valve in or out .

I put the coompression tester on it and got it up to 3psi.

The other 550 had 50 psi .

So I had success with my 61 and a Chinese jug and piston so I pulled off the cylinder expecting a hole in the piston or a smashed in, wore out, ring and cylinder wall .

Nope the piston ring cylinder and piston all looked great [to Myuntrained eye].

Before I order a Chinese piston and jug ,,,,,,Am I missing something.
Sorry for the long winded explanation

Ok,, I was not sure,, as the one I pulled out of the 61 ,was way more pooched .
I had good luck with China on the 61 and I use the saws for my own firewood.
It's a bit of a hobby, more than a living, so minor use the chineese jug /piston for 60 bucks is gonna be sustainable
Thanks for your input!
