I believe this is a 3.4 not familiar with them what so ever. Anyways, same story took in from a man who couldn’t pay what he owed me. Should clean up nice…Piston and cylinder look good, some minor wear on what looks like only the exhaust side of the piston. Compression feels good. Fuel lines crumbled upon inspection, and is missing the airfilter. She’s dirty but should make someone a great project. I have no clue the desirability or value. Figure $65 plus shipping. If anyone thinks it’s out of line or knows of a serious actual value in current condition please pm me with advise on a price to change it too. If not $65 it is. As always, PayPal F&F and y’all can text or pm me 518-222-6394

You wanna know the kicker… I almost shot you a text to give you first stab at it and the 51… being totally honest. But I didn’t want to bother ya if it wasn’t your flavor so I say ahh I’ll just post it. My bad buddy

I’m confused because this online owners manual says that the model number is indeed a 3.7 ?
That there is a 3800, 3.7 ci, chrome piston thick rings. I’ve never seen a thin ring black/gray saw, doesn’t mean there isn’t one out there. But the earlier, red/black saws were both 3700/3800 saws (with a 3400 pulley and a/c cover) thin rings chrome bore. I still have one in that series and it’s a red black 3.7 thin rings. After running many of both I always felt the thin ring saws ran stronger, also higher compression. That said the 3800 saws are good, inexpensive usually in a case and hardly used like most craftsman saw.
