Hi Everyone,

Couple questions on my first saw I purchased. After some hemming and hawing I pulled the trigger on a CS-490. It will be predominantly for firewood, smaller trees I cut down in the woods behind our house, and for cutting up larger 100+ft trees near our house that I am having pros take down. From what I've read, Echos arrive borderline dangerously lean from the factory. I'd like to avoid melting this thing down, so I'll probably pull the caps on the carb and do some tweaking. My questions are:

1. Where does everyone wind up for the H & L screws for a STOCK saw?
2. Where does everyone wind up for the H & L screws after the muffler mod?

I understand the theory of tuning the high in the wood by ear, starting a bit fat and leaning it out until it stops 4 stroking under load, however I'd like a sanity check on where other people land with respect to number of turns from seated.

Thanks
