This is the real thread for this event.

Feb 18 2012.

Glastonbury CT. Show up when you can. I will begin the logging process at 0900. I have Several dead softwoods (big) to drop, buck, chip and split. I also have one huge white oak to drop and process.
We will have a 2 car garage with heat, tables & chairs, a grill and port a let.
I am building cookie & noodling stations (as we speak)
we will have 2 splitters, one good size chipper and a grapple bucket skidsteer (which I suck at driving)
There is parking.
There will be a keg of Long Trail or harpoon IPA Hey it is a long weekend.
Bring sleeping bags if you want-the garage will be the squad bay for suckers that end up wanting more on Sunday

Lets get a list of who is coming & what is being brought
This is a party for the local people too so we are expecting normal folks without saws- no heckling the normal folks! They will be hiding in the garage.

Please bring your life insurance policy (signed over to me)
A current physical card
Shot records
A current will with all equipment (tractors , trucks , etc) bequeathed to me.

You will have enough help you should mill some of that wood.

Will you be putting one of those fuzzy terlet seat covers on the seat in the porta-pooper? If so, I may come down. :msp_w00t:

I'll throw my hat in as a maybe. I am busy as a 1 legged man in a butt kicking contest right now with Mom's estate stuff. (some minor renovations so the house will sell quicker)
I Know I won't have time to get a mill up and running, I do have a Mini mill but not a decent one. (and I haven't had time to use that ione either.)
If someone does bring a mill I would be happy to lend a hand.

Well let's say if guys are gonna drive from 6 hours I'm gonna have to put on a good show !

I need someone to drive the loader who is good at it. I want to cut a trail and spread chips on the trail.
Move some big brush piles and use the grapple bucket to move big logs for cookies and other activities
We can have a cut crew ,chip crew ,splitting crew ,and a beer drinking trash talking crew

I wonder what crew

I'll be on
