Hi guys, new to this site also so first post.

Today I clipped my rope guide with my chainsaw when changing over hands, chain was not moving but it still damaged it a little,

Is it better just to change it as it's only just cut the braided outer layer.

FYI I have ordered a new one but was thinking keeping it as a spare.

Imo that is still strong enough to use...but I wouldn’t and have disposed of cambium savers with less damage. I want no niggle at the back of my mind when I’m climbing. Luckily it’s a cheap part to replace
